Gearing up for my first ever comp in a few Weeks. I need help in cooking the MM. I see a lot of pics of boxes on here but the majority of them only show the many slices of the MM. Is there a video on trimming the MM out and cooking it? Should I cut it out and cook it separately? What temp should I pull it..180? If I pull the butt off to save the MM the rest should be a little under cooked?

I appreciate any ideas and tips?

If this is a KCBS event your MM will have to stay attached until it is cooked. It can then be removed and any portion returned to the cooker.
Mine gets removed at around 185, I then cook the remainder of the butt for leftovers.
Trim your MM to the final shape that you want to achieve prior to cooking.
