Electric PID for charcoal smoker

Hi all. I have a Auber electric smoker PID that I have laying around. It is the Model: WS-1500EPM. I no longer have any electric smokers but I am curious as to if I could still use this PID. Could I just wire up a 12v fan box and plug it into the output plug?

I don't see why not. as long as you have 12V power for the fan or find a 115V fan.

For those that are curious, I emailed Auber to get a definitive response.

Hi Cody,

Yes, you can use this controller to drive a blower/fan. Please note the voltage of power output is the same as your power input. If you power this controller by 120V AC, the output will be 120V AC as well. You can directly connect with a 120V AC blower, or you can use a DC blower via a power adapter. Also please set the output cycle rate to at least 20s.
