My sister and my younger son are having their birthdays next week two days apart. That calls for a birthday dinner. So I got some new charcoal, some really nice picanha, some lamb T bones. I'll be making some chicken breasts for later also. Chimney is getting hot.

Now that's a happy table with some great looking food!

Thanks everyone. It was a great evening.
I have to say something about the beef. My butchr said he got some Japanese picanha last week. It was more expensive than usual. I usually pay ~$25/kg. This was ~$42/kg. And it was worth it.
I made the steaks as I've done since buying the weber kettle. Rubbed with Q-salt and beef rub. Cook with two zone to 125. Rest 10 min. Rub with ground coffee and sear.
The results so far were great and I actually changed my mind about revese sear.
But these were unbelievable. The crust was the same. But inside was melt in your mouth, every bite new flavors, amazing experience. I've never had a steak like that. Not in all the restaurants. If you can get your hands on one, buy it. The experience is worth the mony. The pictures do not convey the awesome.
