I rescued a Weber kettle from a guy's trash. It makes a nice backup grill to my Green Egg. With the Egg I'm used to a temp. gauge, so I decided to add one to the Weber.
I put the durn thing in the wrong place. I usually have the fire on one side of the grill. Now, either the exhaust vent or the temp. gauge is above the fire. Not good. The thermometer needs to be moved to just below the exhaust vent.
Guess I'll move it and fill the hole with a stainless steel bolt. Live and learn.
