With all the recent statements of how terrible the McRib is (I totally agree) and what everyone is doing to make their own version, I had to take a stab!

I cut some loin down last night into 3/8" slices and cooked them in the 3-2-1 rib method. They came out like boneless ribs so I had the idea to make an edible version of a McRib Sandwich. Being that it was a last minute thought, I had to use 2 potato hotdog buns for the roll. Tasted great not being a Mc sandy!

Does your McRib have this sort of melt in your mouth muscle grain? Look at the smoke ring!

Thanks! I got the idea from something Danielle (DivaQ) posted early in the summer. She posted something about making pig pops or something where you cut down loin into 1x1 strips and then put'em on skewers and rub'em. I was thinking of working on my rib style and I already had the loin in the freezer.
 
A McRib is basically a McNugget that's not made from chicken but, so far, an unidentified animal's or animals' meat and organs. Your sandwich actually looks like food. Nice job!
