I am an "old dog" and I just learned a new trick! Thanks for that as I have a freezer full of meat that I can't afford to have go bad. It is a rather new freezer, but for some reason I don't fully trust it yet. Don't know why, just a feeling. It has preformed flawlessly since I got it. It is a chest type, so no worries about the lid not closing.

It is in a spare bedroom where I can check the power light from the hallway and not have to go in the room. We keep a small selection of stuff in the fridge freezer side, so we seldom have to open the chest freezer.
