DCS Burner Problem

I just adopted a DCS three burner unit that came installed with the house we just bought, but even after a thorough cleaning and reassembly only the left half of the burner will light from the igniter.



I have to light the other half manually with a long match. I cleaned each burner carefully, but why does only half the burner light?



See attached photo. This is the LEFT burner of three, next to the igniter.



Igniter works fine and i changed the battery.


Is this common? If so, I'll live with it and light it manually.



(The middle and right burners will light once the left burner is lit entirely.)


Any help or suggestions?

Where's the igniter? Are there two?

There is absolutely a plug of bug goo in there somewhere. Is the burner removable so you can hit it with compressed air? Keep poking around the holes eventually you'll find it.

Only one igniter, located in the lower left corner of the grill, directly next to the LEFT burner.

I can get half of the burner to light from the igniter, but I have to manually light the second or RIGHT half of the U-shaped burner.

I took out each burner and blew them out, individually. I used a shop vac but I probably should have used my air compressor.

Again, I can manually light the entire burner with a long match, but I'm disappointed that the igniter won't light the whole thing.
