Great job on the pork!! A couple of friends have had their pellet smokers burst into flame on them. I suspect either from not vacuuming out the ash pot frequently enough, or possibly like you, having pellets that may have gotten wet and didn't burn well. Regardless, just goes to show that most of us seem to think that pellet smokers are "set it and forget it" but they most definitely require the occasional monitoring. Glad everything worked out for you!

Fantastic looking bark. What rub did you use?

The few times I’ve had burnback issues seemed to result from older, crumbling pellets as mentioned above. Sometimes I use sifting pan on bottom of bag to remove the dust before adding to hopper and that seems to help keep a clean burn.
