Today we are having our annual prime rib dinner with a few friends, here are the stars of the party (rib eye roast, spare ribs, sausage rolls, pork belly & turkey breast):

They know they are coming over to eat prime rib and turkey breast, but what they don't know is that they are leaving with ribs, pork belly and fatties! Our Christmas present to them.

And here we are ready to get started cooking, after rolling the FEC120 out of the garage :becky:

Cooker set to 274
Pecan pellets
A few pecan & hickory chunks.

Rib Eye Roast: seasoning salt, home made beef rub, course salt/pepper
Spare Ribs: seasoning salt, home made rib rub, course brown sugar/salt
Pork Belly: seasoning salt, simply marvelous cherry, course brown sugar/salt
Sausage Rolls: naked
Turkey Breast: going on later but I will use my everyday house seasoning on it, a mixture of salt, granulated garlic and black pepper.

I will be cooking the rib eye roast to approximately 130, resting 30 minutes.

Unfortunately no! Even with the camera sitting on the counter I forgot the money shots.

Prime rib was exceptional! It was a great evening with good friends. They were stunned with the meat present, one even insisted on paying for it but I refused.
 
And there I was at the in-laws having dry turkey and store bought ham with some lumpy gravy. :sad: And I was only about 7 miles away.
