Need to stock up on some pellets soon and ran across this. Anyone ever see/try them? On the pricey side, but I might grab a bag. I know Lumberjack has a pellet that has 10% charcoal, but never tried that one either. Bummed to find out that Lumberjack stopped making the 100% maple pellets, loved those.

Yes! Purchased two bags of this stuff. Been doing a 2:1 ratio of 2 parts lumberjack oak and 1 part RO charcoal pellets.

So far I cooked ribs, chicken breast and hot dogs/Italian sausage. I’m just trying to run my hopper dry so I can try different wood pellets.

Still early in my experiments, but I gotta say with the ribs I didn’t notice that hint of charcoal I was expecting. But the chicken, sausage and dogs…it was certainly there. The chicken was so nice we had it thrice for dinners and various salads. My fist post here goes a bit more in detail. https://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=294170

So in short, I’ll go 50:50 for low and slow and big hunks of meat; for hot and fast 2:1 seems to be a good spot. YMMV and I’m very interested in hearing about your experience

I remember using LJ Char Hickory but, never really thought the charcoal flavor was that forward. Might have to give it a go if I run across them.
