My son turned 9 yesterday. He was coincidentally born on St. Patrick's Day, and got the middle name Patrick that is passed down in my family. In my family you get to pick any homemade meal for your birthday and my little man picked carne asada.
The marinade had light beer, soy sauce, wooster sauce, oranges, lemons, cilantro, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, cumin, chili powders and some Mexican hot sauce. We ate it in a "burrito casserole" with chayote squash and pinto beans. I forgot to take pics of the casserole thanks to Guiness and whiskey.
Prior to the birthday dinner my son went to a football camp and got coached by his favorite football player Marshawn Lynch. He is still on cloud 9, it was an awesome experience. And yes, beastmode is a character in real life, he was like one of the kids. Thanks for looking!

Happy Belated to your young man!

The spring football camp experience sounds thrilling.

The grub looks most excellent, and it sounds like you folks had a grand celebration.

Happy Birthday to the young man and wtg Dad for an awesome meal!
