Brisket Chili questions.

you might consider using some ground beef so you have grease/fat to cook onions and other stuff. then add chopped brisket later

Last time I did that i regretted putting in the ground beef. I had tri tip, beef rib and the ground beef. The texture of the ground beef didn't match.

Coulda been just me but if you have enough donor smoked meat, perhaps leave it out.
