ABT's for Saturday night football and pork butt for Sunday dinner. ABT's took 1.5 hours at 225 and two 7.5 lb. pork butts took 10 hours at 235-275. This being my first long cook with a charcoal/wood smoker (previous was electric) I am amazed at the flavor and texture of the bark. Amazing! I call it "Incredibark". Both cooks went great. Even with the low temps outside Sunday morning the BPS ramped up to 235 within an hour. The ABT's should be called OMG's because that all you hear people say after the first bite.

Yummo! Now I gotta pull a couple of ABTs out of the freezer and make an omelet for breakfast.

Now you can use that lectric deal for making jerky!!

Nice job on the pork, looks good!

I had 4 good years with my electric, but she gave up he ghost. The thermostat and element went out and where $100 to replace. I decided the smart investment was the BPS drum smoker.

I have a dehydrator for jerky but I will try it on the drum. Any tips?

Mike
