Whatever you do dont use the $300 shark vacuum from the house. Wife will get slightly upset.

My shop vac was loaned out, and I NEEDED to clean out my cooker. Fortunately the wife wasn't home, and I was able to sneak the Dyson outside. Got it cleaned up and put away, just as the wife pulled up. She would not have been happy!!

Perhaps something along the lines of a Rockler dust separator which is a canister placed before the shop vac, designed to separate the finer and heavier particles by swirling the air. I used one in my woodworking for some time until I got a real dust collector for my shop.
