Bad draft door fitament on new Big Green Egg

My BGE is only 2 months old and hasn't seen an extreme high heat cook yet. I'm not sure if it came like this or if it's deteriorated.

I assume there's some silicone I can apply but do you think I should request the retailer supply it for free? Is this normal wear and tear?

I'd contact the dealer and see what they do. If no joy reach out to BGE as the thing is supposed to have a lifetime warranty. I'll look at mine (11yrs old) and see what it looks like.
