I have a room at Borgata for sale 275 per night, you must put the room in your name and a CC under your name. The 275 per night must be paid to me cash

Talk about lucky. Lulu was reading junk mail from Harrahs that I usually throw away. Sure as chit it had a deal for 3 free nights at any of their AC properties. Booked at Showboat plus $100 food vouchers.









Now we'll see just how free it is before I get out of there and away from the slots.:crazy:

They just dropped the rates overnight - The Showboat rates for the event (Group Code = PBBQ) is now Thursday - $39, Friday - $69, Saturday $179 and Sunday $39. Here's the link to all the CET properties with the group rate. Make sure you click on the correct hotel. If you've already made reservations (like I did ) you'll have to cancel them and rebook to get the lower rate.

I made my reservation at Showboat weeks ago at the higher rate.
After seeing this I called them and they already had the lower rate locked in.
But I would agree that anyone with an existing reservation call to check.

Interesting. It's CET so nothing surprises me but we were told the only way to get the lower rate was to cancel and rebook.

Hi Change of plans here. Taking the bus down to AC on Sunday morning should arrive around noon time, staying over nite, leave AC when the bus returns too North NJ on Monday at 6 pm.
Found a room at the Showboat for Sunday nite only $34.00+taxes.
I now will have plenlty of time for NL Poker:grin:

I just love it when they hand out boxes in alphbetical order. This whole "may your name be called last" thing is overrated IMHO. :becky:

The Showboat and The Taj are the closest hotels to the event. Of course if you want to get all fancy, join Matt at the Borgata. Better for playing poker , but a long walk to the contest.

If you take the train (NJ Transit, leaves from Philly) the Atlantic City train station has shuttles to all of the hotels. Showboat/Taj shuttle drops you off right across from the contest venue.

I called the Showboat and hit the "Change" reservation option and I didn't have to cancel and rebook, they just changed the rate! (saved $50.00)

"Charcoal Cooking:
Use only an electric starter or commercially sold lighter fluid."

This should be an easy contest after the fire department disqualifies 80% of the teams :becky:

It will be interesting to see how they accommodate teams that didn't order a double space since they didn't disclose the FD regs upfront.

Didn't you, in an earlier post about Seaside, say you wanted to eat the competitor's food. Probably drink their beer (I'm bringing Switchback, Shed and Headdy Topper) but you didn't want to help around the site specifically dishes. And you wonder why?

Yup, lost Nation That was in my post. I'm surprised you took that sooo seriously.
I went to the Que by the Sea and still had a great time,tasted some of the competition ribs, met some really great teams..
