Asphalt Screws for Canopy

Didn't think the asphalt would not "heal". Makes sense. I usually use water buckets and coolers but was thinking if there was more I could do.

FYI: Some competitions/venues have rules against it (making holes in the asphalt).

I use the weight plates from my old barbell set. I figure they should get SOME use...:tsk:

We use these. You can screw them in with a regular cordless drill, and when you remove them, they don't leave any marks.

That's what we use as well. I think we have 6 25 pound weights and never have a problem. You can find them dirt cheap.

In the many years of competing and tailgating, we have only needed them twice. We try to avoid them if we can. One time, was against a tornado while tailgating. I think you get the point.

Well, 14 cinder blocks, 16 tie-downs, the pickup hitch and the trailer did the trick. OMG, I thought the whole shebang was going to go flying away.
