BTW, having these lite beers laying around has a 2nd good use: steaming shrimp. Poor 2 in the pot, spill a little Old Bay in it and boil it. Oh yeah. Im craving shrimp now.
The water pan is only there to help with temperture control. If you look at it that way then you will see all you need is water or sand. Save your apple juice and just use water.
