American Royal costs?

Planning to to go to the American Royal this year and trying to get a budget put together. Can some of my Texas brothers give me an idea of what over all cost is to participate in this event? Hotels; fuel; meats;ect. how much did you spend to get there and back? Thanks in advance.

Usually about $500 for fuel for us, we sleep in the RV, so no expenses for hotels for us, you can spend as much or as little as you want for food. We usually make the trip for $1000ish for two of us. Then your cook off expenses you'll have to figure on what all you're cooking.

Lol, I figured strictly travel expenses. It's more when we go with the trailer and truck due to hotels! Although, the $1,500 we spent to go to the Guinea pig and win $300 was well worth it! Lol. Looking forward to the Royal this year.
