A spin on surf 'n turf

Kinda threw this together last minute tonight, so it's a little unconventional as far as surf 'n turfs go, but I wanted to try the BPS Cuckoo Racha rub I picked up today on something. I remembered I had some shrimp in the freezer and some Conecuh hot sausage in the fridge and here we are. I did 2 of the shrimp skewers with the Cuckoo Racha and the rest Himalayan salt + black pepper.

It turned out pretty tasty, I look forward to finding ways to use the Cuckoo Racha since it has such a unique flavor compared to most rubs you'd find on the shelf :thumb: The Conecuh sausage was great, as always...probably my favorite sausage out there.

How do you like the IPA, I just tried some last weekend.
 
I like this particular hazy IPA, not all hazy IPA's though. I'm a big fan of IPA's generally and can't get enough hops. This one packs a punch at 7.5% ABV.
 
I'd climb the highest mountain and swim the deepest sea for that surf and turf plate, but your place is closer! :wink:

Sadly, I've never seen Conecuh sausages on the left coast. :sad:
