How is the wood consumption on 250 gallon RF offsets compared to say something in the 120 gallon range? I have everything available to build a 250 gal cooker but getting cold feet thinking of how little I would actually probably ever load it up to full capacity which means it may sit unused for periods of time. Wondering if something in the 120 range would better suit me. Then again I’ve always had the Motto that you can never have to much smoker.

This pit would sit along side the old Brinkmanm Cimarron I also currently have.

I'm guessing the level of effort to run either will be about the same regardless....wood is cheap, so even if it burns twice as much (which I doubt) I still think your biggest hindrance to firing it up will be the level of effort and not the fuel.

Wood is cheap. Go big.

I feel like the 250 will end up with a better product as well. It just seems like the bigger the offset the better the finished product.
