Got the gauges sunk into the doors today. Stack is on and one of the handles mounted. Finished up some of the RF plate also. Ran out of time, still need to finish grind some of it.

Go the reverse flow plate finished yesterday. It's heading out to sandblasting and will painting it Wednesday. Then hopefully build the first fire in it to season it before the weather puts a halt on things.

ok guys help me understand. I understood everything happening on this build till the reverse tray. I believe it evens out the temp across the grill but if its a solid plate how does the smoke fill the chamber.

It doesn't run all the way to the end of the cooker opposite of the fire box. There is a gap there that allows the smoke to come up and run back down towards the firebox over the meat and exit the exhaust right at the firebox.

Yep, there is a good drawing of the difference at the end of the Feldon calculator page, just scroll to the botton.

Tank came back from sand blasting to day. Did a couple of coats of high temp paint. Tank has some pitting I'll address in the spring when the weather allows it.
