I've always liked this design after several cooks and making a few simple upgrades. It's about as perfect as many costing much more. I have came to the conclusion that making an adjustable damper between the firebox and the oven is not needed. A few reviews stated that it was hard to get the temps over 250. I have a hard time keeping it that low so it must have been the voice of inexperience talking. I LOVE THIS PIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
