Picked up one of these remote Thermometers at WalMart, and used it today on a Brisket.

Was very easy to use, Did a Great job, had about 60 feet of range (outside to inside). Seemed to be very accurate. Did the boiling water test with the probe about 1/2 inch into the water. It read 212 solid, never 211, never 213.

Now I can't speak to longevity as I got it today, but for $14.99, early results say this is going to be hard to beat for the money.

It got bad ratings at Amazon, but so far I give it two thumbs up.
