Hello farkers, just wanna let you know that WalMart has twin bags of Royal Oak lump for $8.88

I've only seen the RO briqs at Walmart for this sale price. I'll have to go investigate.

Are you sure it's lump? I know they had the RO Premium Briquettes at that price. If lump is the same...I'm going to get a bunch!

Unless they're running simultaneous sales, it's for the briquettes and not lump. Brickseek showed 8 in my local store so I cruised over there and found exactly zero. There's one about 7 miles away that supposedly has 50+ in stock but I already stocked up on the Lowe's $4 bags so I can't be bothered.

I have yet to buy a bag of Royal Oak lump and not find at least one rock inside of it.

It's almost like buying a box or a bag of Cracker Jack. There's always a "prize" inside of every bag.

That said, I buy and use more of it than any other charcoal. It burns great, nice and hot.

Just bought those today at my Walmart....$8.88

I bought some last week and have done a few cooks with them. Solid! Comparable to, if not better than, RO Classic...but I still like the RO All Natural a little better.



It's the best price on coal right now. Better than KBB.

Not top shelf but good burn pleasant aroma. Little dark on start up but thin blues quickly. I’m a b&b fan but enjoy trying others. Picked up several bags last year and three bags recently— I’ll use them.

I wonder how that stuff compares to the Royal Oak Classic at Menards, or if just the bag is different? Sale price is $4.49 for 18 lbs bags, so a toss up on price.
