Unlike my ghetto IPC brothers Whiskey Bent, I turn up some Primus, Molly Hatchet, Cracker, Soundgarden, Blackfoot, Outlaws, Sublime, Godsmack, Kid Rock, GnR, Skynrd, etc. Keeping it real.

Now that is what I am talking about!! :thumb:
If I am ever in Florida you may see me hanging near your site !!

Friday Night -Grateful Dead

Saturday Morning - Rolling Stones, starting with Start Me Up (as soon as the chicken goes on the smoker) and finishing with Tumbling Dice (when the brisket gets turned in).

After that were usually drowned out by whatever local band happens to be blasting their version of SRV and Santana covers from the stage.

We try to keep it to anything classic rock, blues, some Marley, etc. As long as there isn't any obscenities so we don't scare any families away from the site...until after awards.

Classic Rock at the comps.,because we gotta listen to local radio stations...got sirius in the garage for cookin at home, never changes..."BB King's Bluesville" is the only channel to listen to there...:thumb:

gotta have some talking heads, some stones, can't go wrong with bob dylan, green day, the animals, bachman turner overdrive and a little beatles on the side. keith

Spidermike, come on down to Fla to cook or hang out and I'll make sure we're set up next to each other.

I have a party playlist that goes on for about 20 hours and I like to shuffle it before each comp. Usually stick to the more up-beat stuff that you can sing along to. My mix is all over the place: Kinks, Weezer, Hank Sr., Beastie Boys, Cracker, Lily Allen, Wilco, Steve Miller Band, Radiohead, Spoon, Van "The Man" Morrison, AC/DC, B-52s, Stones, Ramones... Now I just need to add some Pantera in there to really mess with things!

We swing between Southern Rock and 90's Alternative. Lynard Skynard to Nirvana; Butthole Surfers to Charlie Daniels; Spiderbait to Rusted Root; Allman Brothers to Nine Inch Nails...

Every once in a while we'll thow in some 40's era Jazz and Blues with Ella or Billie and mix it with some classic bluegrass like Glenn Yarbrough.

It's an eclectic mix - everything from the Rev. Horton Heat, Bruce Springsteen, and some Tom Jones - to Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. My iPod has multiple personalities. Thank gawd they all like BBQ.

Outstanding call on the Horton Heat!

If I'm up lighting the early fires, I throw in some My Morning Jacket followed by some live Black Crowes. At approx 10 AM, we pick up a little steam with Shoot To Thrill by AC/DC and then it's off to the races with whatever's on the playlist! Supersuckers, Drive By Truckers, Slobberbone, Lucero, Social Distortion, the obligatory Skynyrd, Johnny Cash and of course... Big Iron by either Marty Robbins or Mike Ness! :thumb:
