Black Betty Restoration

This past weekend I did a "frame-off" restoration of Black Betty, my
15-year-old Brinkmann Smokin N Pit. I thought about getting a new 26"
Weber OTG, but she is sentimental to me.

Thanks. All of the wood is hemlock treated with many, many coats of spar urethane.

Make sure you don't slip any of those leftover hemlock chips into the fire box by accident... :scared:

I used to have that pit til I got my BGE and I donated it to my 'prentice. Mine didn't look that good though.

I just wire brushed the crap out of it, hit it with TSP and painted it with three coats of Rustoleum Ultra High Heat paint (semi-gloss).
