Spare Ribs

Decided to cook some ribs this week. Wanted spares so...

Brought three racks of ribs and trimmed them ST Louis style :-D:

Then trimmed the rib tips and smallest bones from the end:

Then took the membrane off the back, most times I do remove this:

Then coated with my own rib rub :cool::

Then in the smoke for 4 1/2 hours (UDS)

Umm, Umm :thumb: I smoked the trimmings too and will use that for beans down the road.

Not only is that a fine example of how ribs are done, it is an exceptional posting with plenty of production pics! Love them bonez!
 
Looks great Jeff. Guess I didn't hear the phone ring with the invite.:p Do you mean cherry wood or cherry the berry flavor? I have some good cherry wood if you need some.
 
Nice ribs there.. I did three racks myself this weekend. Not worthy of pics but still good. And the trimmings were exceptional. They wont make it into a bean pot LOL. :cool:
