After an additional hour or so at 300° here is the end results.

Very tasty:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

Joe,

That candy looks awesome. One more app just got added to the Super Bowl menu. Great pron too... as usual.

Candy

Joe should set them by the cash register and sell em like beef jerky!!

Great Job Joe...as always:eusa_clap :eusa_clap Is that on the Menu there too:?:

Looks great, I have never made them. Did you put the mix on both sides or just the one?

I only put the mix on one side. And yes, I'm going to put it in a jar and place it by the register to sell by the piece.

Ummmm, have to consult the WW point system. I'm in SOOOO much trouble... thanks Joe, like my Dr. didn't have enough to gripe about.... wink

I've got to try that! Great idea Joe!

BBQJoe's Pork Sticks????

The Joe Man!!!!
AH, the Ol' Pig Candy trick. I have been doing that for years and every time I make some, I carry it around in my back pocket and eat it 'til it's gone!!!!!!!! It should be a better seller than even your BEST Q.

Note to self:

Pick up thick sliced bacon on the way home tonight.

Yummmmm,

That stuff looks great! My blood sugar jumped 40 points just looking at the pictures!!

At the cafeteria, when we did breakfast for the Phillies spring training, we used to dust the bacon in a flour/brown sugar mixtue before baking it...man was it good...

Joe's pig candy should be a BIG winner!! Who needs store bought jerky?

That sounds and looks good need to make never have, but I all so never had a fattie until I joined this forum thanks guys

Serious question: Cooked bacon doesn't need to be refrigerated? (I know it is 'cured' and all, but still.)

Well, this is the first go at it. I'm thinking in a closed jar, it will probably be like jerky and be good for at least a few days.
My concern with refrigeration, is that condensation might affect the carmalized sugar and make it gooey.

Man I love this place now I can make my own candy. My Dr. keeps tring to talk me into having the weight loss surgery and then you great bunch of guys come up with this. Thank God my colesterial is only 110. But after a few of those I could be in trouble. Maybe I should take some to the Dr.???
PS Love the Porn Joe

I'm thinking about making a batch for my son to take to his Superbowl party with the youth on Sunday evening!! A bunch of teenagers on a sugar and caffeine overload should be a sight to behold. At least the bacon will give them some protein!!

Joe,
man that looks awesome. Local Sam's carrys that Wright bacon, thick sliced in plain, maple and peppered. I buy the peppered all the time. Great stuff. Cant wait to try some of that candy!
