Given that this weeks throwdown is dogs, I decided this was a great time to bust out some Wagyu dogs that I've been sitting on.

Durham Ranch wagyu dogs, some extra ballparks, and big fluffly split top buns.

Wagyu dogs on the hot dog rollers, ballparks up front, some previously roasted hatch chilis warming up top.

Front row have an asian slaw on top made with cabbage, rice vingar, and soy sauce with a good smear of sweet chili sauce. Back row is a good ole' chili cheese dog with the added bonus of the fresh hatch peppers.

Is there much difference in the wagyu dogs compared to any other beef hotdog?

Exactly my question - I've seen them from time to time, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on them.

I thought they were really good. Very rich beef flavor not unlike a dry aged steak, but somewhat leaner than I expected. I'd probably buy them again for the novelty factor.
