We had a lot of folks to cook for. Many of them older and # 1 Daughter was taking food back to St. Louis for Friends. With the help of BIL aka Sledgehammer here a true Feast was indeed created. Pr0n Heavy:
This was the first fresh (non frozen) turkey I'd ever done in the Big Easy Oil less turkey fryer:
Injected with Cajun injector Creole Butter the night before:
Into TBE about an hour in:
Out and resting. It took longer to cook with the fresh one. Right at 3 hours:
Partially sliced and plated:
Wish I could take credit for this beauty but it's a spiral cut honey cured ham from Logan Farms that my company gives to employees each Christmas:
Then LuzziAnn went to making cornbread dressing from scratch. Here are just some of the steps:
While the turkey was on, I got the Boudin going. This is the real deal Folks:
Daughter went to making ABTS:
Meanwhile Sledgehammer was busy at his house. Prime Rib:
Anyone had Collard Green Au Gratin? Here are a few of the steps. Man this is good!:
LuzziAnn was still at it too! A vegetable casserole and sweet potatoes. By this time I had a cold beer and was 'er monitoring the turkey. :becky:
What am I forgetting? Oh Yeah! Dessert!
BIL's Bread pudding:
Ann's scratch fudge and I don't know what that crumb peanutbutter chocolate dish is, I just call it Good!:
Her Grandmother's 100 year + old chocolate pie recipe:
There was more but this is all I could photograph:
I did manage to get this plated shot. Turkey, ham, boudin & prime rib with some sides.
If you've read this far, Thanks for lookin' and we hope everyone has the best of Holidays! :thumb:
