got some red oak in there making some coals...

coming to temp...today I'm shooting for 325-350* for the duration, then I'll
ramp it up to 400* to finish...

with the temp ramped up it's a good time to do some baking...

forty minutes give or take...after twenty minutes I checked
every 10 minutes until they were golden......

Nice!! Love that stubby drumpit!! Every time I see it in a thread...well, I've been saving a drum in the backyard from some time now...
 
now that is the way i like it, great but simple. actually, the bean can is a great and usefull tool. if the breeze/wind is kinda swirling around it can mess up the air flow. i put a can on and it settles things down. but i like the taller can "mod".
