Default First Dizzy Meat with pr0n!

First fire in the new Jumbo Joe Premium:

I was worried that the shorter depth of this grill compared to the standard kettle would be a problem, so I built the fire off to one side.

Got the chicken all spitted up. The red is breast meat with a Moroccan inspired marinade. The yellow is a mix of thigh and breast with a Chicken Tikka inspired marinade.

Loaded up with a pan for the drippings:

Turns out, I didn't need to offset the fire. Having the fire direct under the chicken made for perfect heat. I have a bunch of red oak cut and well seasoned, so I threw a few small splits on the fire.

Pretty good results. Needs a bit more salt and maybe some more acid in the marinades. The breast meat was a little over for my taste, but still yummy.

I'm quite happy with the choice to go with the CB Rotisserie and use the Jumbo Joe Premium kettle. It's exactly what I was hoping to achieve.

Next time I do the skewers, I'm going to go with a bigger fire and pull the meat earlier. More sear/char lower internal temp.

Thanks for taking a look!
