Default Mulberry wood for smoking?

Anyone use mulberry for smoking? I have a small tree I cut down. I was thinking about cutting it at 4-5" pieces and then splitting those to make chunks for smoking. Thoughts?

Absolutely! Just trimmed our tree. Good smoking wood, similar to apple.

We call it the cotton candy wood because the smoke smell like cotton candy I use it as an accent wood.
