good bbq joints around silver springs md?

I haven't tried either but family in the area likes Mission in Greenbelt md. And Urban bbq in silver springs. Or go to Dc lots of choices.

Florence might prompt the need for at least an umbrella for the weekend. A good one.

Slim pickin's in Silver Spring I'm afraid. I've been to Urban BBQ more than a few times and it is not awful, but quite expensive for what you get. Usually I can't be bothered. Mission BBQ moved in not too long ago and is a breath of fresh air. I would not rate it as memorable or great, but definitely good to very good and would go a few miles out of my way; whereas, I drive by Urban BBQ every day and don't go. In years past a number of smaller places have come and gone, but none have been good that I've been to.
