Went into GFS to pick up a few things. Was looking at the cookies and noticed a 20 lb pox of bulk Italian sausage. It was in the clearance section. Had a little orange dot that said 8.

I asked the stock person, is that eight pounds because the box says 4 - 5lb bags?! She said no, that is discontinued and it's 8 dollars.

Can you say sumo fatty! I will probably make a nice fatty with peppers / onions and provolone or maybe Armadillo eggs the same way for spaghetti next weekend.

Great score. One of my favorite dishes is baked Italian sausage with peppers and onions and fettuccine Alfredo. Heart attack special, I know, but I only have it about 4 times a year. Yumm-o. :icon_cool

Actually it is a Mid-West thing. GFS= Gordon's Food Service. They are a supplier to Restaurants and such. They also have retail locations that the general public can shop in. I think they are affliated with Samrt and Final in California but I may be wrong about that....
