Maverick Probe Holder Thingy

I have a question about the metal pit temp probe holder for the ET-73. Will the metal make the probe read a higher temp than it actually is?

May be a stupid question, but I was just wondering.

I wouldnt think so. The probe is metal, the grate is metal.

Most probe holders have a isolator material of some sorts. Also if you look at the probe itself there is probably a little dimple up from the tip. This is where it actually reads the temp, not the tip.
