I picked up my new to me Lang 48 yesterday and as promised here are the photos. It’s in better shape then I as thinking for sure. I think I am going to try to find someone to blast it and paint everything. I have back problems and trying to climb all around this thing to do the work will almost kill me. I am ok with spending the money as I bought it right. That is as long as it doesn’t cost $1000 dollars!!! If so, I will do it myself for sure. Can’t wait to get her ready for the first cook.

Glad you got it! I agree that paying for blasting is the way to go, depending on affordability. Looking forward to seeing the “after” pics.

I suer hope so!! I was going to buy a hunsaker but I found this and got it for less than I was going to spend on the drum so I jumped on it. Plus I already have a PBC. That being said, I still want a hunsaker!!! :becky:
 
Get it blasted, put good coat of paint on it and it will last forever.
My Jambo backyard is at the sand blaster right now.

Would you mind if I asked what they are charging you? Just trying to get a ball park figure.
