Lit and Loaded will not be there. It is the same weekend of Brian's daughter. I guess Brian would rather not sleep in the dog house.
 
We are offically in..My girls are signed up for the Kids Q too ...They are supose to turn in ground meat??Is that what we call hamburger here in Illinois?? or is it anything ground up..? Maybe we will get the old brisket burger reciepie out..

Anything ground, and garnish is pretty much open......we're more about the experience of the kids cooking....most do hamburgers.....ground brisket will be fine.....unless it get's changed this year, every child will receive a medal, and we really whoop and holler for our kids, not just our family, but ALL our bbq kids. Hell, we even cheer when they walk their turn ins in, if we see them!
 
Sounds great..Do you know when they do the kids Q? I will have to ask the girls what they want to cook..(I may not want to know)
 
Bill meant to say, my daughters B-day. Lots of family in from out of town, so I can't cook it. Good luck to all and have fun.
 
Note from Aimee--People Choice

We could use a few more teams to sign up!

Hey guys...I just wanted to touch base, and ask a favor. I have exactly
nine teams that have entered the People's Choice. I need some more. I
generally would not ask teams to enter a category in one of our
competitions. BUT....given that this is the first time for People's
Choice, and this competition will set the tone for our future
competitions I would really appreciate it if you would enter.

We have a lot that hinges on this particular competition given this is a
trial run with the health department and more importantly the general
public. Let me know if you are able to enter and can commit to entering
the People's Choice Competition.

****On a side note***** this may help some.....the prize money for
People's Choice will be 500.00!!! We may split that between two teams or
we may just give it to the winning team overall.....I would like some
feedback on that as well. Thanks so much everyone!!! See you next
weekend!
