Preseason Tailgate #1 - Porkroll and eggs!

Preseason is a pain for the most part, but I always enjoy tailgating, so I go with it. This week (for the first home game) we did Taylor pork roll, egg, and cheese on an english muffin. We used a cast iron skillet on the Smokey Joe to fry the eggs and grilled the Taylor pork roll.

I love my little Smokey Joe!

I love Taylor pork roll. There are many who I think have not had the pleasure of this fine meat and should.

Is it a regional type of meat? Is it like a pressed lunch meat?

Pork roll is an interesting little meat isn't it! Am I wrong to say its similar to Canadian Bacon? At least it reminds of that - I'm not sure.

I think it is regional - from the NJ area. Luckily for me it is sold in Baltimore too!
