see that's the problem, it takes awhile to make. on friday night, i want to torch the egg, get it stabilized, make the pizza, throw it on and eat it in 60 minutes.

While that is true the dough freezes and can be saved for later. It's worth the effort, I kind of thought the same way and finally broke down and went for it. I'm not sure if I'll go back to store bought. Your BGE will thank you (and your stomach will to).

Did you ever try the frozen Pizza Dough from rest. depot?
It works great for me.
