I finished my new Mini Drum Smoker today! It is a BDS 1427 clone and it has an extra lid - a Weber Smokey Joe for another 3" for a total 9" grate height.
Bought the drum new for $20.

Test charcoal basket

14" Weber grate

Don't ask me why? I just had to do it!

Brian, I am confused (that's pretty common) but the diameter is 27 3/4 inches? What am I missing here?

I was thinking the same thing Meat....

Someone helped themselves to one of my drums-snatched it off my deck and drove off with it. I'm in Lockdown mode.
