I just came across this article on how to shoot pics of your Holiday Food.
It was written by a photographer for the New York Times.
There should be some helpful info there for everybody; even if you're just
taking pics of your non Holiday briskets, ribs, fish etc.

Be sure to follow all the links there and read all the pages.

We had a thread for posting photo techniques, but now I can't find it???

Thanks for sharing.

Good tips there, I need prettier plates

I find Chinet looks better than all those other paper plates.

Chinet is so pricey, I was thinking of the sack o' plates types and some markers.

I take pictures for a living, so my problem is not wanting to mess with taking pictures when I'm doing my hobby -- cooking (and eating). I make a good meal, and think, "I should do a good photo of this for the forum."

Then, I say, "Fark it, I'm hungry," and snap a few quickies and try to make them presentable in Photoshop later.
