I have a cargo trailer with 30 amp peer with breaker box. With a 25 ft cord attached for shore power. Not sure what gauge wire it is off hand. What size wire do I need if I want to add a 50ft ext cord to the existing 25 ft cord? So I don't drop voltage to the point of damaging the AC.

I made an 75' 8 ga. cord for our camper at the Royal. I don't think I'd go smaller in case you're running more than the A/C.

You want to use 8 gauge wire. 30 amps is 10 gauge wire and with distance for voltage drop and only going 75 feet . Need to up size wire to #8
