Pa, Ny, Oh BBQ Events

I am looking for some smaller events in the western Ny, and Pa area or eastern Oh areas. I may also go to some larger events a little further away to observe but really want to enter a few small events and get started in competition.

Not sure if there is a website that will help with this, if so I have not found it.

If anyone knows of any for the 2012 season I would appreciate it.

Go to Kansas City BBQ Assoc web page and click events It gives you all of their sactioned contest through out the country each month Do an event Size does not matter

At this point its hard to find any smaller events, as they are all growing.

I am really close to pulling the trigger on a FEC-100, would this be a problem at any of these events.

When you are not cooking:

If you want to come out to any events we are cooking at...Boston Hills, Oinktoberfest, and Brockport (hopefully Wilson also)... you are welcome to hang with my team. It could help you practice turn in boxes, timing, plus who knows we could pick up knowledge off each other ;-)

You will not be the only one with one, popular smoker at competitions but bring a inverter battery or check on power just in case...

Bringing portable power would not be a problem, just wanted to make sure competitions in this area allowed pellet smokers.

There are not many organizations that disallow them...they burn wood, therefore are legal in all major sactioning organizations
