Hey guys, I need to solicit the help of your critical eye. Please help me pick
which of the following pics I should use for an upcoming pork carnitas post?
They're all very close, so I appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance.

I have to agree picture three has the best angle and is clear and nicely focused right in on target.

Without a doubt, it's number 3 for me too. Excellent shot by the way, composition, depth of field, perspective, color...all are great, and the food looks really tasty too!

Why am I always the backwards judge (#6 I guess).

In order, I like:
2
1
3
4

The lighter colored wood in the background/foreground in pics 3 and 4 is a little distracting. While I like the pic of the meat itself best in 3, the background angles and colors take away some. 4 is worse. Leaves us 1 and 2. While I like the black foreground on pic 1, I think #2 gets right to the heart of it.

Please feel free to discount my opinion.

Call me crazy, but I like the second shot best. It seems to make the food pop...even though your crop is maybe a wee bit tight.

I'll take #1... and a Dos Equis, please. I agree that 3 and 4 distract me a bit with the light colored wood across the back... I like how the dark leather and the meat play off one another...

Is that wrong?
