Hello Brethren,
I just purchased an incredible super heavy combination 3 burner propane grill and wood burning smoker unit from a neighbor. The vertical smoker side hasn't been used. My question is this...the bottom of the smoker just has a box but no grates or anything "raised" for the wood to settle down when burned. Also, I'm much more comfortable with charcoal/lump. Was thinking of putting my Weber smokey joe grill in that box since it already has a grate and air holes. Any thoughts. Also, need to season this huge beast at some point. Need help with that too. This thing was built by someone who knew what they were doing. Took three people to load it into my trailer. Uploads of pictures failed for some reason.
