I was just visiting the Spicewine site and dreaming and noticed that the Trailer prices have gone up. Just kicking myself now because I wanted to order one at the beginning of the year when I got my tax return. Now I'll have to work a little more O.T. at work to make up the difference. Have material prices gone up?

I noticed the same earlier today. Makes sense though.

jay said that he was going to have to do it and it was comming.
metal and health coverage both went up on him this year he was saying.
can't blame him just part of business.

I think we'll see it all over...

Fast Eddy is selling his new 300 for what I paid for a 500 a year ago. Everything goes up.....just take Viagra later in life, or so I'm told.

Materials prices overall for a variety of metals have skyrocketed in the last 12+ months.

Thats what I figured, just hit me by surprise is all, just hope they dont move up anymore or I'll have a hell of a time convincing my wife that I need a Spicewine at this price.

Vinnie is right. Steel prices have gone through the roof. When I bought the expanded metal for my charcoal basket the vendor mentioned that 10 months ago it would have cost me $25 less for a 4' x 8' sheet.

I think Jay gave the board 3 or 4 months notice that he was going to raise the prices and if anyone was interested they should get their order in.

Look around, prices of EVERYTHING are going up. Milk, bread, gas...can't see how steel is going to be any different.

Blame global warming.

Even the massage parlor has raised it price....oops did i say that out loud?

We just need a good plastic smoker, would make cost so much easier, one of those acrylic kind so you can see the meat cook! Kind like the stuff the big fish tanks are made of!

Like a plexi glass type smoker  That would be cool to be able to look in and see everything cooking and never have to open the smoker until it was ready to pull!

Get yourself a port-o-pottie, put your fire in the base and hang the meat from the roof!

Even with Jay's price increase, it is still a bargain. I had the ooprtunity to see Poobah's spicewine up close and personal yesterday morning. I've read here about how good they were and how well built they are, but nothing that I read prepared me for what I saw. Jay is truly a craftsman. the quality and workmanship in these smokers is unbelievable. They are a work of art.
