BBQ Bubba slaying it @ Lockhart's BBQ in Royal Oak, MI

I was in Detroit area and had the opportunity to meet up with BBQ Bubba at Lockhart's BBQ in Royal Oak where he is the pitmaster...

First off Bubba is a class act and a real Brethren, and I've met a lot.. Just a great guy..

We chatted for about two hours and he gave me a tour of the kitchen....Funniest part of the night is about 10 minutes into my visit some wasted guy starts crying to Bubba that he brisket was not good that night.. The guy gets it from his car and Bubba samples it.. nothing wrong, remember this guy is wasted (stoned/drunk or both)... A real yuppie with pink shirt... yuo get the picture.. As Bubba gets some new brisket meat for him the guy starts telling me "I hope your fried (Bubba) doesn't hate me now, he's a BBQ God !!! ..

Bubba made me up a plate off the line and the BBQ was stellar.. I'm not just saying that to be kind.. This BBQ is as good as you will find anywhere... Brisket was a 10... just perfect... Ribs, Sausage were spot on too...

Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely be back to hang w/ Bubba first and foremost and them sample some more great BBQ.
