Cabo San Lucas - First Time: Any Recommendations

I've never been to Mexico. Never been anywhere out country, actually.

Looking for relaxation in Cabo San Lucas, I've narrowed it down to there as I'm trying to steer clear of some of the troubles they are having in that country.

Not looking for "authentic" street food or anything. I can get that locally within a mile from my house.

Any Brethren been to Cabo and can recommend a resort?

I've been looking at places that do NOT cater to families or children. Its definitely an adults only trip.

Looking at both room only, semi inclusive, and all inclusive packages.

It's been 12 or so years since I was there but the place was beautiful. It's right on the beach and I remember being able to walk down the beach to restaurants and bars. It is a short cab ride from the town area.

Sunset Beach and Pacifica are a couple miles up the road and are geared towards adults and couples. A tad bit more exclusive. Its not part of the main beach strip, which is both a blessing and a curse.

I am trying to get away from my kids. Last thing I want is to deal with someone else s kids.

I paid my kid dues at Disney last year

They are doing that here in Chicago now, so I actually have less of a chance of it happening down there
